My name is Katherine, aka the Kat behind moonkat. I started moonkat studio because I wanted to create with my hands and share that work with others.

My pieces draw inspiration from the everyday beauty around us - whether that's the slow path of a raindrop down a windowpane or the intricate cross-section of a lotus root slice. Each piece is carefully crafted to celebrate simplicity, the charm of imperfection, and the stories that shape us. Using the ancient art of lost wax carving, I handcraft every design and work with a local caster to transform the wax into metal.
